You should add the extra ppa from Philip and upgrade to kipi-plugins 1.9.0 sudo apt-add-repository ppa:philip5/extra then create and add to /etc/apt/preferences.d/philip5-extra-ppa: Package: * Pin: release o=LP-PPA-philip5-extra Pin-Priority: 400 Now, upgrade: sudo apt-get install kipi-plugins=1
