I'll try to remember. It's been a while. From what I remember it turned out that the ubuntu 3D screensavers were still switched on and caused the crash every time I left the computer long enough for them to activate. I was using the opensource ati driver. I used XGL because when I tried AIGLX it

Ah, I remember those crashes. Ati opensource driver was buggy, but is getting less buggy. I'll put this on rejected since we don't have any descent logs about it, and it isn't about XGL. Ati opensource drivers made 3d screensavers crash in Dapper, even without XGL or beryl. ** Changed in:
