Gursimran singh, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/
UPDATE: With the latest drivers 260.19.44 HDMI works like a charm on
Vaio F13 :) So for me these drivers are now complete.

I get some error at the last block but as I mentioned before the drivers
don't cause me any problems and I can of course run the desktop effects.
What's more I do not need to use the EDID hack in xorg.conf any more.

Yes, I did. The newest version from nvidia does not cause me any
problems except of not working HDMI but this is not a regression. For me
it has proven to be completely stable and efficient so I hope it will
hit maverick repository soon.

There is a vary similar problem with Sony Vaio F series. For my F13
(geforce 425m) this was resolved in Nvidia's drivers starting with
version 260.19.29. Sadly Ubuntu repository still provides us with older
drivers.

At last I got my laptop back from repair. Yes, using

any problem with a display but still I can't enable advanced desktop
effects. Further edid-get still reports erro
