vilcoyote17, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
Same error message for me when starting my Ubuntu 10.10 this morning.
The message remained visible 2 or 3minutes (i think my disks where
checked during this time, iam not sure as I don't have any graphical
display during boot any more since 10.04), then the session started
normally (auto-logging).
my report: Bug #722898
