Getting proper GL support for sis is an upstream problem, not something
the Ubuntu developers can/should fix.

low end... if it is possible to make these things work by implementing
some work on the driver... well, the card is common in so many laptops

Ditto for Edgy Feisty. I know this is a poor card, but we'd sure like
to use its limited 3D abilities. We cannot use beryl or compiz now :(

I can Confirm that.
Implementing GL_ARB_texture_non_power_of_two
would fix several apps like tuxcart.
