Public bug reported:
I was testing the Edgy RC live CD on a Xeon machine with EMT extensions (hp
DL380) and after telling it to shut down from the menus, it goes through the
graphical progress and then simple stops at a flashing cursor.
At this point, hitting ctrl-alt-del says it is killing rc6, then shortly after
it goes back to a flashing cursor.
