Fred : Thanks for these informations, can you attach the file created by
this command in a terminal? lspci -vvnn lspci-vvnn.txt
This is necessary since this will give us more information about your
graphic card.

Exactly the same problem here, if I remove the splash parameter from the boot
string it seems to work fine.
but when it has the splash parameter sometimes it freezes after that same
message:

For me, I had to restart the x server and then everything worked fine.
But mine sounds different, because it would never get past that. It
might be worth a shot though.
