Binary package hint: synaptic
The interface for the "New in repository" status in Synaptic is much
slower than any other view. Clicking on "New in repository" hangs
synaptic for 300-500ms on my computer. Clicking a package in that list
also has similar delays. In both instances CPU is 100% for that split
second. Compare this to other views (e.g. All, Installed, etc.) which
are instant to switch to and select packages in.
