this bug is still present in precise too.
My thought is that : Appmenu should not be shown when the workspace
spread (Super + S) is active. it is just confusing . why do we have a
menu here at all ?
the same thing applies to the expo mode too ( Super + W )

Even the behavior of the AppMenu in Workspace Switcher Mode is not the
same as in Normal Mode. In Normal, we click on a single app indicator,
then by simply hovering over other indicators automatically open them.
But they won't open like that in Workspace Switcher Mode.
