Kubuntu does not have the developer manpower needed to implement and
maintain many features at the Kubuntu level. This wish would best be
reported and tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that it can be

I confirm this.
The configuration module kcmsambaconf should be included in the
"Advanced" tab of System settings. This module is very interesting to
configure samba properties. So why it is not accessible ?

Sorry to post twice, I also noticed that after using the kubuntu system
settings to change my eth0 network card from dhcp to static, my manually
inserted workgroup and server string in smb.conf were removed.
I have to edit smb.conf every time I appy changes in the networking
dialog in system setti
