Still having the same problem with Kubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. Any chance this
will get fixed any time soon? Is it a packaging problem or must it be

I have the same problem. Installing Lightning from the Mozilla page is
not an option for me, because there are only i386 binaries for Linux, no
PPC version.
