Public bug reported: I have had Ubuntu 6.06.1 This works well, I can't reboot the system (normally from the graphical interface in Gnome) and I can shutdown the normal way. I have not attached any USB devices to the laptop. The installation (home partition 23 Gig, and / 10 Gig and 1 Gig swap file) on a Intel Mobile Centrino laptop 1.7 Ghz 1 Gb Ram ATI 9700 Mobilty video card, goes well, the last step after the installation is ejecting the CD rom, the laptop doesn't want to reboot after pressing Enter or Return. I've just switched the laptop off the cold way (pressed the power button on the laptop for a while). The 6.10 boots normally (I can't see error messages since there is a Spashscreen). The system works normally and everything works, sound and internet IPW2200 driver works. Only when I want to reboot by pressing the red button in upper right and pressing restart or shutdown, the laptop seems to shutdown many processes but is hanging on the very end. This is with restarting (rebooting) and shutting down 6.10.
Could you pls help me? Thanks!
