No sound via HDMI on ION
Thanks, problem could be solved. I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10. It's
necessary to run alsamixer and unmute S/PDIF 1 by pressing the M
key. Then sound works finally.

Hi! Nvidia has released a document on how to get HDMI working - see
ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/gpu-hdmi-audio-document/gpu-hdmi-audio.html
Perhaps that can give some insight, e g, do you have nvidia binary
drivers installed?
