normally now. I can't confirm for certain yet because I haven't used it

Hi
I have since re-installed 10.10 (as my wife got cross with me over using
a buggy distro!) but I hadn't ever logged into the classic desktop while
using Natty. I'd be more than happy to re-install 11.04 if you wish me
to provide any more information.

can you make sure that gnome-panel and the kde panel are not loading in
your session? and that you are logged into the Ubuntu Desktop session,
not the classic desktop, it sounds like you are loading the gnome
panel/kde panel underneath unity, they would

After the recent upgrades, the behaviour of applying Twinview has changed. The
Classic Gnome menu no longer appears, but funny things do still happen. I've
had the Ubuntu icon in the top left corner disappearing, the applets in the top
panel blanked out and the Kde top panel replacing the
