Closing this ticket as per Roony's previous comment. If the problem persists in Transmission, Deluge, and Opera in Natty, you may want to open a new ticket for Ubuntu rather than Transmission, so that the people higher up the distro food chain will see it :) ** Changed in: transmission (Ubuntu)

Ok I was tryin to get the data with a fresh install, but unfortunately, the issue not only remained, but also occurred with deluge, and with opera [at start up]. So now i really have no idea whats causing the problem, tho my best guess would be gnome or the distro itself (linuxmint10).. so its u
