Hello,
when I configure amovible medias like this in SystemPreferences :
gksudo gnome-volume-manager-gthumb %h
it works perfectly. I can import my pictures as root.
I read the bug 67532 but nothing appears to be changed when I add the
following line into '/etc/udev/rules.d/45-libgphoto2.rules'

why does it work for me ... *sigh*
Which kernel version and which udev version does Edgy Eft use?
