I was connected to the network and it normally picks up Chicago as my
location, Chicago is in the same time zone as Austin (Central US).

I recreated the usb stick with Natty AMD64 PC image and I get the same
result, I just wanted to rule out USB image corruption due to my
previous install. While installing on 2.5Tb and 3Tb disk the installer
quits and boots into ubuntu live cd image.
