Public bug reported:

Running kernel Linux 2.6.35-25-generic, the system hangs when connecting
to a wireless network. Switching to a virtual terminal is no longer
possible and no logs are recorded anymore.

I think the system hangs at wireless connection because of the following
behaviour: When I create a new account from the command line first, I
can log on to a new gnome desktop. As soon as I configure a wireless
connection, the system hangs. When I log on using my regular account,
the system hangs at the Ubuntu logon sound, part of which is looping
over and over again without giving me access to my desktop at any point.
The account is configured to auto-connect to my default wireless
connection.

This is a regression which does not occur running 2.6.35-24-generic or
2.6.35-22-generic.
