Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kaffeine
kaffeine 1.1-0ubuntu1 @Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) When (gnome’s) power saving settings are active, kaffeine will not prevent these, when watching movies / TV. As a result, the screen blanks and no more video is displayed until an input event is triggered. I’m not sure how this is handled technically, but I guess kaffeine should (when displaying video) notify the power manager to prevent screen blanking. (In case it already does the bug will be on the power manager side, not noticing / ignoring this) ** Affects: kaffeine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/714274 Title: should override power save settings to prevent screenblanking while watching -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
