Desktop CD of Ubuntu 10.10 failed to load on this self assembled machine
with these specs:

Asrock P45DE3 Intel P45 DDR3
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5 GHz 4MB FSB1333 B
Kingston HyperX DDR2 4GB PC1066 CL5.0 Kit
Club 3D Radeon PCI-E HD5770 1GB DDR5 HDMI

It installed fine with acpi=off and needs that to boot successfully.

Please let me know how I can collect useful information.
