Hello Eric, could you clarify what you're running. Is it Ubuntu 10.10, or is it 'natty' (which will become Ubuntu 11.04)? Console handling of ctrl-alt-delete is configured for upstart in /etc/init/control-alt-delete.conf. When the graphical user interface is running, then a dialogue should

The machine was upgraded from 10.10, got around 80mb of new packages a day. Sometimes mouseclicks are not recognized too, you click and nothing happens in x. But that comes not from the hardware, older ubuntu's from usb works pretty well. Aeons ago the ctrl-alt-del comes from /etc/inittab, this
