Public bug reported: Binary package hint: emacs23
It seems that some settings are not saved when using the "Options" menu. For example, if I change the visibility of column numbers, the setting is saved. In the minibuffer I can see a message to the effect that .emacs.d/init.el was written. If I change the visibility of the toolbar, it is not saved, and no message about writing init.el is shown. This is running an up to date Maverick install. The problem occurs even if I delete my init.el file.
