I've uploaded eglibc 2.13-0ubuntu2 to natty containing the prelinking
fix; binaries should be available in a few hours. Confirmation that
this fixes the prelinking bug would still be appreciated.

The prelinking bug is

test package to the toolchain PPA, and will post here when there are
binaries available to test.

Could people with prelinking problems please try libc6
2.13-0ubuntu2~ppa1 from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-
toolchain-r/+archive/test? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if this should be part of this bug or not but the new libc
won't accept prelink. When the prelink runs, suddenly everything
segfaults. I ran it manually to test and now I'll have to dpkg -x libc6
again.

This is still hitting me hard. I already updated to 2.13-0ubuntu1 and I
have the same issue that most programs won't start anymore. I'm back up
running using an older btrfs snapshot, but when I mount the updated
volume I can't even chroot into it and start bash.
root@schleppi:/# mount -t btrfs -o

The ppa packages DO work on a 64 bit install (testing by opening evolution).
but don't on a 32 bit install, still get same error message there..

@Doug: are you sure you've installed the 2.13-0ubuntu1~ppa2 version?
That version does not have the assert you're reporting. Line 622 of elf
/dl-deps.c reads assert (nlist 0);

@Doug: are you sure you've installed the 2.13-0ubuntu1~ppa2 version?
you're right, for some reason I'm only getting 2.13-0ubuntu1~ppa1 on the 32 bit
install, can try dl'ing the set manually, if they're actually there

After manually grabbing and installing evolution opens again, not sure why the
ppa was giving me the ppa1 packages??
Installed these 4 manually
libc6_2.13-0ubuntu1~ppa2_i386.deb libc-bin_2.13-0ubuntu1~ppa2_i386.deb
libc6-dev_2.13-0ubuntu1~ppa2_i386.deb
This bug was fixed in the package eglibc - 2.13-0ubuntu1
