We are getting ready to publish gwibber build in a testing PPA for
testing a number of gwibber-service changes, one of which is changing
the library we use for fetching data. I would love to have you test
this using vpn, perhaps it will fix your issue.

Did a test with gwibber in latest oneiric, issue is still there.
