The keyboard layout management seems to have changed in Natty. I think it should be saved in /etc/default/keyboard, but I don't know if there is an automatic script which update automaticly this file. If we want only a per-user setting, saving this configuration in a ~/.dmrc file could be a

Setting to confirmed. The lxkeymap code does not currently attempt to save the settings, as far as I can see. Specifically, the ok method in PreferencesLxKeymapDialog.py does nothing at all. It may have been created by some sort of code skeleton generator, and then not completed by the
