You might want to try creating /usr/local/Brother/sane/GrayCmData/All
manually so that the script can complete, or you can try to wipe that
script (edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/brscan2.postrm and remove everything,
leave it empty), then they to remove brscan2 again.

What is the name of the package you want to remove (the brother printing
stuff) and what is the name of the brother scanner driver?
