benste, good to hear you got it working. Okay, if you still feel it to
be a bug, can you provide the exact steps you followed to produce the
issue, so the problem will be clear to upstream? Include all of the
output including error messages from each step. Include the steps you
take to get it
Is this a recent regression or has it always been this way? If it is a
regression, when did you first start noticing it behaving this way.
Note from your xrandr output, 'NTSC' is not a supported mode. You can
try these values:
mode: PAL
supported: PAL PAL-M
(19.03.2011) - got it colored now.
I'd change the description to xrandr not able to change the video output
mode.
iirc even if NTSC isn't valid for my region i should be able to switch
to NTSC which i wasn't - and luckyly it was only a tweak in the TV to
get the default PAL signal working.
I'd
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
The Phillips TV should have colurs if using PAL - but is grey only
changeing mode from PAL to NTSC for testing only results in an error
benste@ubuntunatty:~$ xrandr --output TV-1 --set mode NTSC
X Error of failed
lol - when using EXT2 on the screen (which is used by the settop box too) it's
grey,
but when switching on the TV usng the set-top box on EXT1 it auto changes to
SVHS2 with a colured image of my laptop (maybe because it's refresshing the
whole time)
