Michael ther eis a purge option in adept, that is similar to complete
removal in synaptic. Is that not what you were looking for? It removes
depends sort of the way aptitude does. I dont think using aptitude is
the best idea for a GUI package manager, but the purge should act the
same way.

I will have a look later (don't currently have a Ubuntu box to hand). I
take it that purge is still not automatic though. And is it different
from apt-get's purge option? I seem to recall that that just removes
the package with its config files.
