Confirming... Also, using qtconfig-qt4 to change the font style from
Normal to Light (which would fix the issue) doesn't makes changes;
since that tool doesn't seem to save that setting!

I have commented on a duplicate of this

repeat it here, maybe it will help.
My theory is that QT apps use the Medium variant of the font instead
of the Regular variant if the font in use has a Medium variant,
because up until now

I observe the opposite behavior: fonts in all KDE applications (but not
in pure Qt4 apps) are too bold.
