knutclient exists in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and 16.04 LTS.
Although Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is still supported for some purposes, support
is generally limited now to packages in main. Therefore, I'm closing
this bug. I apologize that we don't always respond to bugs very quickly.
