I confirm that, when i kill the processus indicator-datetime- preferences, the applet works fine after. But, i haven'nt this processus after boot and login. The fisrt time after i hit the preference option, then, the pocessus appears once. I kill it, i restart the preferences and it works fine.

As of today, this appears to be fixed for me. Three consecutive reboots and indicator-datetime-preferences has run correctly when invoked from indicator-datetime and gnome-control-center Let me know if any new information from me will help you further. I'll let you know if the bug reappears!
