Guys,
I'm affected by this one too, iMac with ATI card.
Basically every one or two boots I'm presented with a black screen.
Any chance this will be fixed?
I'm very willing to help - please let me know for any needed information is
needed.

Yes I do have an ATI card as well.
And there was a restart prob as well.
Maybe mine was an X server fault too. Ya could be same.
