Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

I reported bug 729489 last month and it was fixed by replacing the tabs
with more consistent behavior but after todays upgrade (beta2) it seems
to have reverted back to the old issues.

Has this fix been overwritten by another change?

Original issues was as follows:

___________________________________________________________

Let me list what I think are issues:
this is what happens in order when you click on a tab,
1) The Origonal Tab stays black
2) New tabturns black
3) The Content refreshes below
4) Both the old and the new tabs turn silver again?
5) When you move your mouse off the panel of tabs/buttons the new one shows
black.
6) If you hold the mouse over the new tab again it turns silver again

This makes to ver difficult to flick through tabs and know where you are

This the order/what I think it should happen in.

1) The Original Tab turns silver (should never have two tabs highlighted at
once)
2) New tab turns black
3) The Content refreshes below
4) new tab stays black
5) When you move your mouse off the panel of tabs/buttons nothing changes
6) If you hold the mouse over the new tab again nothing happens

I think this is two bugs

1) should unhighlight old tab before highlight new tab
2)The buttons seem to have 3 states:
a)Unselected and no mouse over - Nice silver Button
b)Unselected with mouse over - Nice silver button with less shading
   c)Selected button - Black/Ambiance look
Unfortunitly the button is not smart enough to know that when you mouse over a
selected button it should not use the same highlight as when it is not select.
To resolve this one of two things needs to be done:
1) Disable mouse over highlighting when tab is selected or
2) Create a forth state where it is selected with mouse over that is a
variation on the ambiance not silver state.
