It happened to me. Had some tabs open (maybe around 15) and quite normal
webpages (no flash or javascript objects). The system started working
heavily until it crashed.
I was also trying to update my system at the same time. I don't know if
it would have interfered. I attach the crash file

can check this under System--Administration--System Monitor, and check the
Resources tab and see what values it shows for Used Swap.
