haroonob, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

10.04 is from last year. If I'm not mistaken this notebook in quite new.
Try booting the 10.10 or the 11.04 beta2 live CD images to see if the
problems were solved in newer version of the kernel and drivers.

First of all 10.04 is LTS version and Ubuntu provides support daily or weekly.
My Laptop is up to date with latest updates but still bug exists.
The Issue is occurring in other's debian distribution.
I faced similar sound issue in HP a year back and after some week updated It
got resolved.Reason

Today I added backport url at my software sources and there are some kernal
related updates available. I updated my ubuntu with these updates no benefit
still I am facing same problem now my kernal version is
