Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-session
about 30% of the time I click there, when I want to logout or restart, or whatever) the menu wont show up ... only a little edge will highlight the button it self (as it usually does when a menu is showing) but not the actual menu... I then have to move the mouse away and try again and again... sometimes, it only shows when I click somewhere else in the indicator (such as the telepathy menu) and if the show (as usually do) I can hover the mouse to the power button and its menu will show. The machine could be totally busy (load and io) that could compromise the timing when a menu shows (cause it needs to multiprocess its way through the drawing process), but it also happens when I am not doing anything at all (not even on background) so that is no excuse Besides that odd behavior, the indicator seems pretty responsive. I am not sure if there are some test or log files I can try to post... and since its kind of intermittent, I am not sure I can capture the menu not showing up with gnome-screenshot -d 10 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: indicator-session 0.2.17-0ubuntu1 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-996-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Apr 22 15:06:05 2011 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=pt_BR:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGES=pt_BR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: indicator-session UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-04-10 (12 days ago) ** Affects: indicator-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 natty running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769127 Title: session control menu wont show up when I click on the power button -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
