I haven't had digital audio since 9.10 but this issue is not related to
just Ubuntu. I tried fedora 15 and I have the same issue. The driver
doesn't recognize my digital sound card. I guess my question is should
I report this to asla directly?
** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu)
Status:
With some help I edited /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
# autoloader aliases
install sound-slot-0 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-0
install sound-slot-1 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-1
install sound-slot-2 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-2
install sound-slot-3 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-3
install sound-slot-4
