I haven't had digital audio since 9.10 but this issue is not related to just Ubuntu. I tried fedora 15 and I have the same issue. The driver doesn't recognize my digital sound card. I guess my question is should I report this to asla directly? ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status:

With some help I edited /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf # autoloader aliases install sound-slot-0 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-0 install sound-slot-1 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-1 install sound-slot-2 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-2 install sound-slot-3 /sbin/modprobe snd-card-3 install sound-slot-4
