The same issue is on 11.10. I have copied settings from 11.04 installation had before and it looks like there are no global menu for Empathy Contact List window. I am not sure if it is previous settings are not handled or a bug. Another interesting issue with Empathy: it stopped logging

I get the same issue with 3D unity in 11.10, upgraded from 11.04 the other day. It always starts open and maximised after logging in, the menu appears ok then. I always close it and virtually never use it, but if I do decide to open it from the panel I don't get a menu but it does say Empathy IM

Hello gentlemen, after the latest round of updates of unity-2d - the issue with minimizing and restoring has been fixed but when I first start Empathy - there is no appname and no menubar. I can click on the desktop and back on the window and it appears. The unity-2d build I currently have is
