because you have installed 2.15-1~maverick0 version, but in Ubuntu
Maverick official version is 2.6-1, you can see at:
- http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick/gpodder
Seeing version this package looks a PPA package.

Hi hostmaster, in that case you should write ppas owner, because this
package isnt ubuntu official. But maverick's gpodder is newest, why you
dont use it?
