FWIW, this also happens using the GNOME3 PPA with an nVidia GeForce GTS
240 using the nouveau drivers. Clicking on a category displays the same
icon correctly. Just the list of all applications has the weird
colorless distorted icons.
I left the status as expired as I'm using a PPA on natty.
