if it works in feisty, it's probably something in the kernel.. and that
is hard to get updated for edgy. You may wish to track down what change
would fix this, but in the meantime I'll close this since it most likely
won't be fixed for edgy.

I don't know if it works on Feisty x86, though, I only have Feisty on my
PPC machine...
