Solved: The real problem is that the machine is connecting to the
Internet and it downloads the list of available packages, but the CD
does not have them.
I solved this problem having my DHCP server not giving a default route
to the computer being installed.

I got the netboot image off the DVD ISO, in the install/netboot
directory. The mini ISO I downloaded from the Edgy download page (there
doesn't appear to be one on the DVD image).

There is no newer version of that file than 2.6.17.1-10.34 in Edgy.
Where are you obtaining the installer image you're using? If you're
using a DVD image as a source, you should be using the installer image
matching that (it should be on the DVD, in fact).
