2007-02-27 Thread gpothier
Problem persists with 2.6.20-9. The system is usable for 25 seconds after the suspend key is pressed, then the screen goes black and it takes 11 more seconds until the status led indicates standby mode. Total 37 seconds to suspend. uname -a: Linux tadzim 2.6.20-9-generic #2 SMP Mon Feb 26

While I've only tested this once or twice, I think one of the recent updates may have fixed the issue for me. Suspend is now much quicker, just a few seconds on a freshly booted system. I think this is with kernel 2.6.20-8-generic. I'll be able to test this further later in the week. --

Same experience here with 2.6.20-6-generic on Feisty. Suspend was much quicker on Edgy. -- System very slow to suspend to RAM (Feisty) https://launchpad.net/bugs/79599 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

In my case, I'm not sure if it was 2.6.20-6 or 2.6.20-5 - it was the latest version in the Feisty repository as of the posting of this bug. I removed Feisty from my test partition a few days ago to make room for some other testing, but I will be reinstalling Feisty once Herd 3 comes out. I will
