It doesn't seem to matter what I am burning. I believe burning an Iso
works ok, but anything else fails. I also am having trouble burning
with K3b, so I'm not sure where the problem is. I'll see if I can get a
backtrace.

Thank you for your bug. Does the behaviour depends on what you are
recording? Do you have lot of small files to the CD? Could you get a
backtrace for the hang (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace)?
