Ok was a problem on my side, The package manager removed the python
packages for appindicator after an incomplete update...

I'm certainly not seeing this. Is it only Python programs that are
having the issue? What do they do?
Could you check to ensure that you've got an indicator-application-
service running and that the indicator-application package is installed?
