This very well may be a bug however, Ubuntu's package of k3b does not
include the Monkey's Audio plugin and subsequently it is not supported.
Due to that I am rejecting the bug. You may want to contact the
author's of k3b about your issue.

It means that the Monkey's Audio Encoder plugin requires a k3b version
greater than 0.12.x, not that it is included with k3b.

i have those plugin installed, but it doesn't record from ape
Where at k3b's website do you see that there is default support for the
.ape (Monkey's Audio) format? I see an additional plugin available for
Monkey's Audio at http://www.k3b.org/download but nothing about that
plugin being included in the default k3b package.
