I have the same mainboard. While I am mainly using Fedora I can provide
you with more information by booting Ubuntu from USB stick. Please tell
me which things you want to know.

[Gutsy+Feisty] suspend and hibernate fail on MB Asrock K8NF6G-VSTA
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/81137
You
I sold the MB a few weeks ago, so it'll have to be somebody else. On the
other hand Hardy and Intrepid have had good results for hibernate on
computers where it wouldn't work in Gutsy, so the problem might indeed
be partly solved.

Thanks Loic. For now I'm going to close this. Feel free to reopen if
you're able to test. Thanks.

[Gutsy+Feisty] suspend and hibernate fail on MB Asrock K8NF6G-VSTA
The 18 month support period for Feisty Fawn 7.04 has reached it's end of
life - http://www.ubuntu.com/news/ubuntu-7.04-end-of-life . As a result
we are closing the linux-source-2.6.20 task.
Loic, would you be willing to do one more round of testing against
Intrepid Ibex 8.10 which was released
I don't have that PC anymore sadly. Actually I still have the motherboard
somewhere, but I don't have enough pieces left to build a functional machine
with it. If I can get a hand on some spare pieces I might use the MB to rebuild
something but then I can just reopen the bug.
Thanks

Gutsy broke both hibernate and suspend for me. Hardy didn't manage any
better either, and both were clean installs. Last working release was
Feisty, and that's too old to be of much use.
I tried following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend for a
few hours, but didn't manage to get it
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

[Gutsy+Feisty]
Hardy Heron Alpha2 was recently released. It contains an updated
version of the kernel. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron
Alpha2 release from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/alpha-2/ .
You should be able to then test the new kernel via the LiveCD. Note you
will only be able
The following might help with debugging the suspend issues. Let us know
if it helps. Thanks!
