Then did problem must be on my systems only. I have to change this setting
for nrpe to work.

Default the use of nrpe in de services.cfg file is check_nrpe not
check_nrpe_1arg. This is not the same as the standaard nagios. I sugest the
change more from the a user point of view then a real bug.

Sorry, but as far as I understand the RHEL scripts also applies more
arguments to the command_line, just as the Ubuntu version does. That
means that we should not change the defaults.

Thanks for your comment! Do you use Feisty? Why do you think this patch
should be applied?
There is also a check_nrpe_1arg variant in /etc/nagios-
plugins/config/check_nrpe.cfg that does the same that you proposed.
