you might want to try moving .gnome2/session somewhere else and look if
that fixes the problem

No real Bug - error was in ~/.gnome2/session
fixed with removing this session file

no problem. Did you keep that file? It should not crash whatever the
file contain and it could be useful to look at what the problem was, in
you don't have it that's fine as well and feel free to reopen the bug if
that happens again
