Public bug reported:

Evolution seems to have a file handle leak.  After running for a day or so 
(with some time suspended) it raises an error:
"Cannot open maildir directory path: 
/home/chris/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/.: Too many open files".  This 
happens consistently given sufficient time, although I've not pinned down the 
minimum time it takes.

After this message occurs, Evolution is ususable.  Any attempt to access
mail results in a "Cannot access database" error.
